Hello everyone,
I'm currently learning and trying to improve my riding skills, especially when it comes to reaction speed and staying calm in busy traffic. Sometimes in city areas there are unexpected situations - cars changing lanes suddenly, pedestrians crossing, or other riders making quick moves.
I wanted to ask experienced riders here:
Recently I started reading more about reaction training and coordination exercises. I even came across some discussions about how old racing video games and fast‑paced console games helped people improve hand‑eye coordination and quick decision-making. While searching about that, I found an interesting article explaining how classic PlayStation systems work and how emulation is possible on modern devices: https://ps2biosonline.com/
It made me curious because some people say reflex-based games can help improve attention and timing skills (of course not a replacement for real riding practice).
What do you think?
Can controlled gaming or simulator-style practice actually help with reaction speed for motorcycle riding? Or is real road experience the only true way?
I'd really appreciate your suggestions and personal experience.
Thanks in advance!

I wanted to ask experienced riders here:
- How did you personally improve your reaction time?
- Are there any specific exercises or drills you recommend?
- Do you practice mentally (like visualizing traffic situations)?
- Any tips for staying focused during long rides?
